Hello All! Welcome to the very first guest post!
I am delighted to present a story from

? DM me.Kubera, the treasurer of the gods, has always been a ‘social climber,’ craving acknowledgment and praise from the Devas. One day, he decided to throw a big party to display his wealth and generosity.
“I shall invite Shiva Mahadev and his wife Parvati! When the other gods see Shiva attending my party, they will recognize my importance and treat me with respect!”
He sent out the invitations. Parvati and Shiva decided to teach Kubera a lesson in humility. They sent their regrets that they could not attend but assured Kubera that their son Ganesh would attend in their stead.
Kubera concealed his disappointment and welcomed Ganesh warmly, even though he arrived an hour early for the celebration. Kubera offered food to the elephant-headed Ganesh. “Lord Ganesh, would you like to sample the most delicious and expensive delicacies in the universe?”
“Yes, please! I’m starving!”
The help brought tray after tray of delicious treats, which Ganesh devoured instantly.
“Would you like more?” asked Kubera. Ganesh nodded happily.
Ganesh consumed whatever they brought until he had eaten everything in Kubera’s massive pantry, and still, he asked for more.
The other guests hadn’t even arrived yet! Kubera sent his household help to find more food while he ran to Shiva and Parvati’s home.
“Your son has eaten me out of the house and home and still wants more! Please help me – I don’t know what to do!”
Parvati reached into a bowl and took out a small ladoo, a delicious, round sweet treat, Ganesh’s favorite. “I made these this morning. Give him one.”
“One tiny ladoo? Are you sure?”
Parvati smiled and raised her hand in a ‘fear not’ gesture.
“Lord Kubera,” she said, “One prepares food to feed people, not to impress them with abundance. My son will be satisfied.”
Kubera shrugged and ran home with the ladoo.
“Don’t you have any more food?” thundered Ganesh. “I’m hungry!”
Kubera offered the ladoo.
Ganesh popped it in his mouth. “Ahh! Mother’s ladoo!” He chewed and swallowed, then wiped his chin. “Thank you, Kubera-ji, for the appetizers and Mother’s ladoo. I really must be going now.”
And he left.
Good one, thank you both!
