Thanks for the mention, Jayshree! I share your passion for pecan pie. After ice cream, it's my dessert of choice, especially this time of year. I haven't made one in years, but that may change...

Pecan pie and ice cream - that is a winning combo! I have never tried to bake one - my culinary skills don't extend that far but there is always hope. Yes, you should try it again :-)

Jayshree a Vegan? Naw, can't be, this is the first time I heard about it and I've known her, here, since the Hello India doors opened.

The most common vegan joke, Jayshree, is: "How do you know a person is a vegan? They tell you each and every time you talk to them. ". OK, OK, I learned a long time ago never to let the truth get in the way of a good story. Grin.

Truth though, teasing and joking aside, I'm very glad you're here via internet, I quite enjoy your company and stories.

Another truth; I'm sure you are glad you are here only via the internet. After a bit of a cold spell, it's warned way up to balmy minus twenty one degrees Celsius today! ;-)

Hi Jim, bbeing vegan is tough so I stayed a vegetarian! I love yoghurt and pizza! Hmm, given this joke, I just became aware that I don’t write about food all that often, so maybe I will write about life as a vegetarian in multiple countries. lol. Thank you for being here since the early days! I cannot disagree about not missing the minus 20 degree winter days in Columbus, Oh! Happy Thanksgiving!

I ate a big piece of pecan pie for breakfast! It was rhubarb-strawberry yesterday. My two favorites! Thank you Jayshree!

Nice! I love rhubarb too after I discovered its tangy tasting sauce in London! Happy Thanksgiving!

I am so happy you tried it! Being from a German family, we grew it in our garden since I was a kid. I haven’t growing it in a few years though. It makes a lovely chutney!

Pecan is also my favorite as a Southerner. You’re right about nostalgia, I don’t think I’d appreciate it as much if I was pounding them year round. Makes them special.

Thank you for running such a rockin publication! It’s great seeing your appreciation of your side of the world and it’s clear you love your homeland. As long as you keep writing, I’ll keep reading.

Take care and have a great rest of the holiday season!!
