Catholics have Saints O'Plenty. The takeaway is that many of the ancient saints from 1800+ years ago died horrible deaths. You kind of venerate them but don't want to be exactly like them. Speaking for myself.
lol. Thanks for the insight, Dale. The culture does venerate those who seek spiritual wisdom, especially the ancient ones. In the modern world, it is a mixed bag, and there is healthy scepticism of so-called 'holy men,' that seek to exploit the poor and rich for money.
